Paying into Malawi

Funds clear through the country's own payment system and arrive in local currency, so the recipient is credited by their own bank without an intermediary in the path.

Standard onboarding

A business or individual residing here can be onboarded and verified through the standard KYC and KYB flow.

Where money can land and where a person can be onboarded are separate questions, and a country can answer them differently. Money reaches a bank account in 95 countries and territories. Residents of 227 can be onboarded. Malawi clears both, which is why this page exists.

Those two figures measure different things. Do not add them, average them, or quote either one on its own as a supported-countries number.

Reconciliation of the banking partners' published rail documentation (which destinations each payout rail reaches) against their published residency documentation (where a business or individual can be onboarded and verified). The two are recorded as independent axes.

Residency comes from one banking partner’s published list. Coverage is additive across partners and our other partner publishes no residency list, so a restriction here means that partner will not onboard, not that Oncade cannot serve the country.
